This reconstructed blockhouse at Fort Mitchell, Russell County, demonstrates the type of building that would have served as a storage facility for valuable items and as a guard house during the years of the fort's use from 1812 to 1840. The fort was reconstructed in the 1990s and is now a National Historic Landmark.
