Richard "Dick" Crommelin (1917-1946) was a naval aviator in the Pacific Theater during World War II, one of the famed Crommelin Brothers from Alabama. He earned the Legion of Merit and the Distinguished Flying Cross for his actions in the Battle of the Coral Sea and the Battle of Midway. He was killed in a midair collision with another U.S. aircraft in July 1945.
