Janney Furnaces in Ohatchee

Janney Furnaces in Ohatchee, Calhoun County, was built just before the Civil War to provide pig iron to the Confederate Army, but was never used for that purpose. Now part of the Calhoun County Park System, the site is listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage.
