Aileen Kilgore Henderson

Tuscaloosa County native Aileen Kilgore Henderson (1921- ) is an educator and author of children's books who began publishing at the age of 74, including two memoirs. She won literary awards for The Summer of the Bonepile Monster and Hard Times for Jake.
