Map of Manack Store

Manack's Store, shown here on a map from 1831, was an inn located on the Old Federal Road near present-day Pintlala, Montgomery County, just south of Montgomery. The proprietor, Samual Moniac, was a Dutch immigrant to the area who married Elizabeth Weatherford, a Creek woman from an important family. Their son, David Moniac, graduated from West Point and was an officer in the U.S. army.
