Redstone Arsenal, 1960

Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Madison County, was founded as a chemical weapons plant during World War II and has grown to become a high-tech weapons center for the U.S. Army. It serves as home to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, and other intelligence and executive offices.
