Southern Cavefish

The eyeless Southern Cavefish (Typhlicthys subterraneus) is found in cave habitats in the southeastern United States. A similar species, the Alabama Cavefish (Speoplatyrhinus poulsoni), is found only in Key Cave in Lauderdale County and is critically endangered.
