 Four Spirits

Sena Jeter Naslund’s national best-seller Four Spirits (2003) is a fictional account of Birmingham during the civil rights movement in the early 1960s, when the bombing at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church killed four little girls. Naslund and University of Montevallo professor Elaine Hughes adapted the story for the stage in 2004.
