Vulcan Statue and Park

In this 2003 photo, the newly revitalized Vulcan statue stands atop its pedestal after four years of repairs and refinishing. Behind the statue stands the initial construction of what is now the Vulcan Park Museum, which features exhibits and artifacts relating to the statue and its connections with Birmingham's history.
