Hugh Morrow

Jefferson County native Hugh Morrow became president of the Sloss-Sheffield Steel and Iron Company in 1925. He oversaw the replacement of the complex's original furnaces and other modernization initiatives. Morrow previously had practiced law in Birmingham and served in the Alabama state legislature.
