Rosa Parks Boards a Desegregated Bus

The Montgomery Bus Boycott began in December 1955 after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man. The protest movement ended on December 21, 1956, after the U.S. Supreme Court declared Montgomery's segregation of its public bus system unconstitutional.
