Lewis Smith Lake

Alabama Power Company created Lewis Smith Lake in 1961 when it dammed the Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River northeast of Jasper, Walker County. The lake covers more than 21,000 acres in Cullman, Walker, and Winston counties.
