Lorenzo "Piper" Davis

Bibb County native Lorenzo "Piper" Davis (1917-1997) was a star player for the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro American League during the 1940s, and later was the team's manager. Davis also played for the Harlem Globetrotters for a time and worked as a baseball scout late in his career.
