The Alabama Museum of Natural History is housed in Smith Hall on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. A repository for the state's cultural and natural history collections, the holdings range from mining implements to fossil whale skeletons to a chunk of the Hodges Meteorite, the only extraterrestrial object to strike a human.
