John F. Knight
John F. Knight represents Montgomery's 77th District in the state legislature. He has led a long and largely unsuccessful effort to revise state property tax laws. He and other state leaders argue that the state's regressive tax system hampers education in poor areas and is thus discriminatory against African Americans.
