Thomas G. Jones

Thomas Goode Jones, center, achieved the rank of major in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, fighting in Virginia in the Valley Campaign, the Siege of Petersburg, and the Battle of Spotsylvania. After the war he was an officer in the Montgomery Greys and the Alabama state troops.
