Forrest "Fob" James Jr.
Forrest "Fob" James campaigned for a third term as governor of Alabama in 1998, but had lost support in certain sectors due
to personal quirks and policy decisions made during previous terms. He lost the general election to Democrat Don Siegelman,
who curried the voters' favor with his plan to fund higher education with a state lottery.
