Arthur P. Bagby Jr.

Arthur P. Bagby Jr. rose to the rank of general in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. His cavalry brigade captured the USS Harriet Lane during the Battle of Galveston. Bagby's father, Arthur Bagby Sr., was a two-term Alabama governor and served as a state legislator and a U.S. senator.
