Jere Beasley Sr.
Jere Beasley (1935- ) is a nationally known trial lawyer and former Alabama lieutenant governor who served as governor for
32 days in 1972 after the attempted assassination of Gov. George Wallace. Beasley's law firm has won billions in lawsuits
against such corporations as Exxon Mobil and Merck. He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his law
degree from the University of Alabama.
