Grenville M. Dodge

Grenville M. Dodge (1831-1916) was a brigadier general in the Union Army during the Civil War who later served in the U.S. Congress. Dodge entered the railroad business immediately following his military service and was a key figure in the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad.
