Dairy Calf in Hutch

Dairy calves are kept in individual "hutches" until they are about three months old to prevent passage of diseases between calves when they are most susceptible. The hutches are designed to keep calves comfortable in most conditions, although in very cold weather they are often covered with a blanket as well.
