Mother Angelica and Archbishop Toolen

In the late 1950s, Mother Angelica received support from Archbishop Thomas Toolen of the Archdiocese of Mobile to build the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in the Birmingham area. Here, Mother Angelica, left, is seen displaying a model of the monastery to Toolen and Mother Veronica.
