Cudjo Lewis in African Town

Cudjo Lewis at his home in African Town (now Africatown), in the late 1920s. Lewis was the last survivor of the group of enslaved Africans brought illegally to the Mobile area on Clotilda, the last ship to bring captives to the United States.
