Fiddler at Skyline Farms 1937
Artist Ben Shahn photographed this fiddle player at Skyline Farms, a New Deal cooperative community in Jackson County, in 1937. He was one of a number of artists and photographers hired by the Farm Securities Administration to document the effects of the Depression on rural Americans.
