Basilosaurus cetoides was a type of prehistoric whale that lived during the Cenozoic era, about 35 million years ago. This reconstruction of a complete skeleton hangs in the main hall at the Alabama Museum of Natural History on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
