John Breckinridge

John Cabell Breckinridge (1812-1875) was vice president of the United States under President James Buchanan and was a Southern Democratic candidate for president in 1860. A Kentuckian, he served as a general in the Confederate Army during the Civil War and was Jefferson Davis's last Secretary of War.
