Signs of Ancient Life

An amphibian trackway and a fly larva burrow meander past thte impression of a fern frond left in an ancient tidal floor some 315 million years ago. The "manus" label indicates the forefoot, and the "pes" label indicates the larger hind foot; the line created by the dragging tail is clearly visible as well.
