Viney Reed Taylor was the granddaughter of Piamingo Hometah, a Six Towns Choctaw and the Chief of Hobuckintopa. Her descendant, Wilford "Longhair" Taylor, was Chief of the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians during the late 1990s.
