Erskine Hawkins

Erskine Hawkins's Alabama accolades included induction into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, as well as an honorary doctorate from the Alabama State Teachers College (now Alabama State University). A park near Tuxedo Junction in Birmingham also was named in his honor.
