Downtown Dadeville

Dadeville is the centrally located county seat of Tallapoosa County, established as such in 1838 when voters opted to move the county seat from Okfuskee. Dadeville is named for Major Francis Langhorne Dade, who died in Florida in 1835 during the Seminole War.
