Wilcox Female Institute

The Wilcox Female Institute was established around 1850 as a boarding school for girls, and closed in 1910. The building served as part of the county high school for about 50 years, and in 1976 the Wilcox Historical Society made it the group's official headquarters. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
