Aaron Burr

Aaron Burr (1756-1836) was the third vice president of the United States from 1801-1805 under President Thomas Jefferson, and famously killed political rival Alexander Hamilton in a duel in 1804. He was arrested in what is now Alabama in 1807, accused of plotting to split the nation or planning to invade Spanish territories.
