Marsh Rabbit

The marsh rabbit (Sylvilagus palustris) inhabits the southern reaches of Alabama and is a threatened species. Unlike most rabbit species, which walk in a hopping gait, the marsh rabbit walks on all fours like a cat. It is also an excellent and frequent swimmer.
