Clifford Durr at an FCC Hearing
Clifford Durr worked for the Reconstruction Finance Commission and was a member of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
during the 17 years he lived in the Washington, D.C., area. During his last two years with the FCC he opposed the red-baiting
tactics of the FBI and the House Un-American Activities Committee. In 1948, he resigned in protest of the Federal Loyalty
Oath Order.
