Thomaston Colored Institute

Thomaston Colored Institute, also called Thomaston Academy, was a private black school affiliated with the West Alabama Primitive Baptist Association. The building was erected in 1910 and has been vacant since the 1970s. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
