Edward C. Bullock
Edward C. Bullock (1822-1861) of Eufaula was a two-term state senator who promoted secession. When Jefferson Davis was elected
President of the Confederacy, Bullock delivered a welcoming speech as Davis entered Montgomery before his inauguration. Bullock
resigned his senate seat to serve in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Bullock County is named in his honor.
