(Back to "About EOA")

When you give to the Encyclopedia of Alabama, you support K-12 education in Alabama (and beyond) and help tell the story of the state to the rest of the world. In a time of shrinking education budgets throughout the nation, supporting a free, reliable, and accessible source of information such as EOA can make a real difference to K-12 students and teachers seeking information on Alabama.

The Encyclopedia of Alabama has been awarded a $425,000 Challenge Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The grant requires a three-to-one match and matching funds will create an endowment for the long-term support of the encyclopedia.
