Sadler Home

The Sadler Home is one of three historic homes around Bessemer, Jefferson County, that are preserved and managed by the West Jefferson County Historical Society as the West Jefferson County Pioneer Homes. The Sadler Home, built by settler John Loveless between 1817 and 1820 and is the oldest home in the area. It was donated to the historical society in the 1970s by descendants of Isaac and Martha Sadler, who purchased the home from the Loveless family in the 1830s. The property is now part of the historical society's living-history events.
