Waldo Covered Bridge

The Waldo Covered Bridge, shown in this 2004 photograph, is 115 feet long and is located in the community of Waldo, Talladega County; it was built in 1858. It is the second-oldest covered bridge in Alabama and was constructed to allow commercial and private traffic across Talladega Creek. It was also known as the Riddle Mill Covered Bridge for the access it provided to the mill on the east side of the span. The mill building was later used as the Waldo Town Hall.
