Martin Petroglyph

The Martin Petroglyph was donated to the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art in Tuscumbia, Colbert County, by the Martin family for preservation in 1990. Prehistoric Native Americans carved images known as petroglyphs (meaning "stone carving" in Greek) of a snake and footprints into the stone sometime between 600 and 1,000 years ago.
