This nodosaur tooth was discovered just over the Alabama state line in Columbus, Mississippi. It has a very long root and a sharp edge. Such teeth allowed the animal to saw through the tough fibers of plant leaves. This specimen is housed in the collections of the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science in Jackson, Mississippi.
