Tom Bevill Lock and Dam

The Tom Bevill Lock and Dam, located near Aliceville, Pickens County, is one of eleven locks on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Originally called the Aliceville Lock and Dam, it was renamed for Alabama congressman Tom Bevill, who was one of the infrastructure project's staunchest supporters.
