Robert Arthur "Bobby" Allison
(1937- ) was a successful
NASCAR
driver and one of the original "Alabama Gang" that included brother Donnie Allison and Red Farmer. In 1998, NASCAR named Bobby Allison one of its 50 greatest drivers. His career included 84 total NASCAR victories and he has been inducted into the
International Motorsports Hall of Fame
and the
Alabama Sports Hall of Fame
