Hickory Shuckworm Moth
Hickory Shuckworm Moth
Pecans
suffer from a number of pests and diseases. The hickory shuckworm moth (
Cydia caryana
) lays its eggs on the shuck, and they then burrow into the shuck and thereby reduce the nutrient flow to the developing nut.
