Walter B. Jones
Walter B. Jones (1888-1963) served in the
Alabama House of Representatives
and was a
circuit judge
for 15 years. He is most notable for his controversial decision granting an injunction against the operations of the
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
in Alabama during the
civil rights movement
. He was the son of Alabama governor
Thomas Goode Jones
