Samuel Younge Jr. Video

Tuskegee Institute student and civil rights activist Samuel Younge Jr. was the first black college student to be killed in the civil rights movement, shot for trying to use a whites-only bathroom. The subsequent not-guilty verdict delivered by an all-white jury resulted in a student riot on the streets of Tuskegee, the height of civil rights unrest in the city.
