Tuskegee Airmen Video, Part 1

Former president Ronald Reagan narrates the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American U.S. military pilots, who trained at an airfield near Tuskegee Institute in Macon County. Part of the 332nd Fighter Group of the U.S. Army Air Corps, the pilots trained to battle the Germans and Japanese in the months leading up to World War II.
