Macon County Courthouse

The Macon County Courthouse is located in the county seat of Tuskegee. It was built in 1905 in the Romanesque Revival style, including gargoyles on the tower, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The building was designed by the architectural firm of noted Atlanta architect James Wingfield Golucke, who built more than two dozen courthouses in Georgia; it is the only courthouse in Alabama designed by him.
