Eula McGill at a Labor Rally

Labor organizer Eula McGill was born in Georgia in 1911 and moved to Alabama in the late 1920s. After several years as a spinner at the Selma Manufacturing textile plant, she became involved in labor activism and participated in the General Textile Strike of 1934. She went on to become an organizer for the Women's Trade Union League and the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. She died in 2003.
