Pine Ridge is located in central DeKalb County in the northeastern corner of the state. It has a mayor/city council form of government.
Pine Ridge was incorporated in 1982.
According to 2016 Census estimates, Pine Ridge recorded a population of 204. Of that number, 69.6 percent of respondents identified themselves as white, 25.0 percent as Hispanic, 13.2 percent as two or more races, 3.4 percent as African American, 2.0 percent as American Indian, and. The town's median household income was $26,250, and the per capita income was $11,826.
According to 2016 Census estimates, the workforce in Pine Ridge was divided among the following industrial categories:

  • Manufacturing (21.1 percent)
  • Educational services and health care and social assistance (16.9 percent)
  • Retail trade (19.7 percent)
  • Professional, scientific, and management, and administrative and waste management services (7.0 percent)
  • Other services, except public administration (5.6 percent)
  • Wholesale trade (2.8 percent)
  • Construction (2.0 percent)
  • Public administration (1.4 percent)
Students in Pine Ridge attend DeKalb County schools; no public schools are located within the town limits.
State Highway 35 runs through Pine Ridge running northwest-southeast. Interstate Highway 59 lies just east of Pine Ridge.
Events and Places of Interest
Little River Canyon National Preserve and DeSoto State Park are both located just to the east of Pine Ridge. The preserve offers canoeing, fishing, hiking, hunting, and kayaking, and the park has camping, fishing, and acclaimed hiking opportunities.
